Over the course of 14 months, I was an Area Marketing Assistant for The Preiss Company. During this role, I was tasked with coordinating a day-long concert to take place at one of our properties. I coordinated this event with the two goals in mind: to provide a fun way to connect with current residents that will encourage them to renew a lease and to raise brand awareness that will attract potential new residents to our properties.

 

Quads on the Green is a concert series put on once every quarter at the Quad at East Campus properties in Austin, TX. Our first two events attracted the attention of our residents and resulted in a great turnout. Employees and residents were able to connect, many guests attended, and we were able to support local Austin musicians. As a result, we planned for the third Quads on the Green to be our biggest event yet.

 

We planned to showcase 10 local musical artists, 4 local food trucks, and many small businesses from around the Austin area. Our expected attendance was about 400 people. Some of our local sponsors included Kerbey Lane Cafe, VooDoo Donuts, Chick-fil-A, and Yerba Mate. I also worked to recruit bands, manage budgets, create social media content, and design merchandise. Unfortunately, the third Quads on the Green event was cancelled due to Covid-19, but will be rescheduled to a later date.
